Dear all,

Unfortunately due to the timing of the junior doctor strikes the sedation study day in January is cancelled. We are aiming to rearrange it for spring time and will let you know.

Best wishes

For Severn core anaesthetics CT1s and ACCS ST1/2s (ED/acute med/anaesthetics stem) who have completed their anaesthetics novice block by the date of the course.

The aim is to increase your familiarity with sedation and to contribute towards the sedation HALO now required for stage 1 of the curriculum alongside EPA 1 and 2.

The day will be informal, involving a morning of talks delivered by consultants and registrars from across the Schools. This will cover sedative drugs, and sedation both in threatre and ED. The afternoon will involve simulation and discussion around clinical scenarios.

You will receive a certificate for your portfolio.   The course is free to attend. Please register here and book your study leave.

Hope to see you there, Jossie Zilkha and Tom Sharp
