CAR PARKING:From Monday 12 September 2016, the Royal United Hospital will be operating an automated number plate recognition (ANPR) system for all vehicles. It works by cameras capturing a vehicle's number plate when entering and leaving a car park. Drivers can pay by coin, card or phone. Payment by phone and online can be made after having left the hospital, as long as payment is made before midnight on the day of visit.
The biggest public car park is on the right as you enter the Main Entrance of the Royal United Hospital. Car parking payment machines are located just outside the Main Entrance to the hospital and near the actual car park.
Car Parking Charges:
- Up to 20 minutes – Free
- Up to 1 hour - £2
- Up to 2 hours - £3.00
- Up to 4 hours - £4.00
- Over 4 hours up to 24 hours £6.00
- 7 day ticket - £15.00
BUS:
The nearest bus station is adjacent to the Bath Spa railway station in the City Centre, approximately 1.5 miles away.
Service 4 – From Bath Bus Station stops directly in the hospital grounds (runs every 10 minutes).
TRAIN:
The nearest railway station is Bath Spa Station. The bus station is adjacent to the train station. Alternatively, a taxi rank is available directly outside the train station. A taxi to the Royal United Hospital will be £8 - £10.
WALKING:
DIRECTIONS TO THE PGMC FROM THE HOSPITAL MAIN ENTRANCE
The Postgraduate Medical Centre is Building B20.
If you are entering the hospital from the main entrance; walk through the main entrance to a long corridor, turn left. Follow the corridor to the end, turn right. Walk past the Lansdown Restaurant, take the next door on the right. Walk through three sets of doors, turn left down a slope. You will now be outside; the Postgraduate Centre is the building 10 yards in front of you.
