Emergency Medicine Leadership Training
Category: Training - Mandatory Courses
Date: August 28th 2019 9:00am until 5:00pm
Location: Double Tree Hilton Bristol North BS32 4JF
One-day leadership development workshop for all emergency medicine trainees in Severn (including ACCS Emergency Medicine run through trainees).
Leadership is both about improving the quality of care to patients and making work more interesting and fulfilling for all of us. This dynamic and interactive workshop is designed as a foundation point to start learning about leadership: what it is and how we can all become better leaders whatever our clinical role in Emergency Medicine.
The workshop is rooted in the practicalities of leading in ED, both the challenges that we face and real things that can be done. This day provides a unique opportunity for emergency medicine trainees from all training grades to come together. There will be lots of opportunities to meet and discuss with your fellow specialist trainees during the day. At the end of the day you will come away with a better understanding of yourself, and some practical changes to carry forward especially to improve teamwork and handle the conflicts that often exist in this highly pressured setting.
The day will be delivered by the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management in conjunction with, Rob Stafford, Helen Mansfield and Tim Slade.
Spaces are limited for each event and registration will close one week prior to the workshop so please sign up as soon as possible to secure your place.
