This is a mandatory course for ACCS trainees starting in ICU between February and August 2015.
Includes:
- How to cope with likely or life threatening scenarios until senior help arrives e.g. tracheostomy emergencies;
- The basics of how to use a ventilator;
- Central line insertion using ultrasound;
- The basics of inotropes and vasopressors;
- Likely scenario simulation.
Emphasis on safety. Material has allowed junior doctors to save lives on ICUs in the region.
Evidenced based approach to content.
Pre-course online material means no lectures - hands on approach to experience and learning directed at the level of the junior doctor.
Excellent feedback from previous delegates.
Cost: £130 including ongoing access to online material and lunch.
